Services include: Prompt and effective treatment to all persons with active disease. Preventive treatment is provided to persons with evidence of tuberculosis infection in a latent (dormant) phase that also have any of several other risk factors. Preventive treatment is provided to all whose tuberculin test converted within the past year and to presumed converters (reactors who have been recently exposed to an active case).
